My 3 weeks with Jule & Daniel, or why it is always better, a bit more money to have it ...
Our time together was in the truest sense of the word a constant ups and downs, both geographically and climatically considered (by's like to take ahead, the mood ranged mostly free ...). fluctuation at the same high level
It started so fresh in Bogota at just below 20 degrees and the clouds so close to 2574m. Admittedly, Bogota us with delight, s
odass we received a rather quick course in the north and also have gained some height, next stop: Zipaquira. Here we went back and started the day down 200 meters and under the earth - to the salt cathedral. There was also plenty of salt next to Cathedral, which is the Passion of Jesus and many crosses in stone and salt.
The next stop was Villa de Leyva's but more in the Far North but also down somewhat, at 2100m. In addition to the hiking has robbed us here, especially the colonial architecture of the breath. Villa de Leyva has only 8,000 residents but less than 15 of them are German and I am afraid this is also the cause of a nocturnal interlude that somehow with selbsgebranntem Sauerkirschsch
naps and a midnight Dose sauerkraut had to do and I am only dimly remember. However, put the sauerkraut is a welcome change to the otherwise rather monotonous Colombian cuisine: roast chicken with fries, fried chicken with rice and fried chicken with beans or soup, naaa, just chicken rice and beans?.
On a Tageshike in Barichara there was in addition to beautiful views in "El Condor Pasa" - style is also a lunch with ants in the sauce (eating habits, the Jules and Daniel can for their Asian time pass apparently with difficulty .. .).
Arrived in Taganga was now indeed the height-related breathing back light (namely, Taganga is Meeresspiegelhöhhe), but the hitzbedingte breathing difficult at constant 34 degrees in the shade. Clear
natural highlight was our day in Tayrona National Park with beautiful beaches and rain forest and jungle, which we have diligently durchtrekkt.
Back in Taganga we were due to the heat just too lazy to do for everything (including the photos ... ) and our time spent largely with Extreme Hammock Hänging. I've then sometimes my hand at underwater breathing tried (many thanks Daniel for the photos!) and so I escaped for a few hours of heat. Other perennial for the slowdown, our beloved giant fruit milk shakes, sooooo fresh papaya, pineapple, Lulo, strawberry, mango and banana (but usually with alternating order ...).
The heat of the Caribbean has gagged us for a week in the hammocks, but then we roused ourselves and are in the south. First, take a taxi to Santa Marta: always an experience with 3 Europeans on average are at least 10cm higher than the ordinary Colombians and try with its three large and three small backpacks to rise in a Colombian taxi, which in principle is no bigger than a Nissan Micra and the drivers, it categorically rejects the Boot-open ... Then we continued along the coast in the south, to Cartagena.
Medellin, known not only as a former drug and violence stronghold of Pablo Escobar, but also as the birthplace of Fernando Botero is a bustling city surrounded by sympathetic traumahften Bergen-built slopes. The nightlife in Medellin will be legendary. A small part of it could we discover the most part we remained hidden in a spectacular way due to a negative correlation to the title of my contribution. In addition, we are drawn more to nature than in the cities.
