Can I Wear A Tie With An Untucked Shirt

back to the roots

love blog community,

of Vientiane, we are with our new visa over drove the Lao-Thai freundschaftsbruecke and arrived with all sorts of buses then finally in Phitsanoluk, where we only spent one night in a determined time to send hotel to on the next tomorrow to our actual destination sukhothai continue. there we were able to admire the historical park. We missed something in the wild romance of Ayutthaya. Sukhothai was still a great place to relax, thanks to the great staff of our (especially the lady-boys were funny and helpful) guest houses. now it went further north to Chiang Mai. to the holy night we reported on in a cookery school. so we learned all sorts of tricks and stealth and ate in a friendly round with nice holla Change customer. Here, we informed our permanent travelers and many interesting (mostly domestic and export) about the trekking around pai. this place is again north and approximately 4 hours from Chiang Mai. Finally, we rented drove a motorcycle and the steep mountain passes up himself. we were also very mobile place before. We slept, we have amee with Rudi and his Lisu woman. there we lived in a small bamboo-bungalow (photo). The trekking route starts directly behind it. were great and the homemade maulbeerlikoer and common meals. rudi has baked a cake on most days and evenings gabs then lisu-dinner. The Lisu are a hill tribe and come from Tibetan WHILE our trips we met other mountain people. the Lahu woman in the photo was our guide to the spirit-well, a huge crater on which you have to climb 400m. up there we met a lot of fun and friendly hunter-gatherers.

many thanks for the many Christmas greetings! happy slip there after installation and NEN good! We hope that you all have been the day went well. We will stay over New Year still in chiang mai and then go to Bangkok by train to visit again the great chatuchatmarkt and above all our train to Butterworth in Malaysia to get. the south of Thailand, we can turn out virtually. for this we go to Penang, a Malaysian island on the border with, so we were told, excellent food.

love best regards!

Osteophytes Hip What Stage?

vientiane

in the capital of Laos PDR

before we actually got there we made, even to us once again to relax a little, a little stopover in vang vien one. there can be tube-well. ie with the tractor tires runterschippern the Mekong, stopping at the many bars left and right of the path to one or two drinks and bold jump with a height monkeys swing from the dizzying flux. jule all was only joking, but Boris and I suffered a bit under the cracks. Boris had pulled the shoulder and me to be a failed bomb ass fantastic. unfortunately it was already dark and cold when we came back into the city. I have three days after that first located flat.
day for me especially because of the good care of jule come right again. We are here purely burst directly in Vientiane in the sea-games. of course we had to look at a lot of judo. for tonight we are still trying to get hold cards for football final (vs. Vietnam. ... malaysia noise).
Boris is now on to Cambodia and we will travel to the north of thailand on. we get our visas from the consulate immediately. in any case we have enjoyed the time with him very much and hope that we will meet again after the trip.
all the best wishes!
ps: also this time we noticed a four posts at the same time, because we in the last 3 weeks had no good internet access. We are always happy to receive your comments, thank you!

Phonsavan

hello in Phonsavan,

here we actually pulled the hills UNESCO World Heritage Site of the plains of jaw, that is, on different stand for 1-3m high clay jars, and there are different theories why they are there. in any case they are probably over 2000 years old. The really fascinating thing in this city, however, the confrontation with the secret U.S. war in which about 2 million. t bombs were dropped on Laos. Laos thus the most bombed country in the world-famous is. so did the usa domino effect during and after the Vietnam War to prevent a communist in South-East Asia. well, today is certainly communist Laos. problematic is that a third of all unexploded bombs were, and thus the whole land is contaminated. the flaechennutzung is almost impossible, especially for children, the risk is particularly high when they see the colorful balls. everywhere you can see bomb craters. decontaminated the routes are marked with boundary stones. we have then in the "likes" (Mines Advisory Group) office informed about everything and there are also a reportage viewed. Our guest house was decorated with thousands of rockets, bombs and mines.

From here we went on over to Vientiane vang vien ...

base camp Moing gnoi ...

the way here alone was impressive. First, a long bus ride through the mountains and then by boat or up the river for an hour. then we lost the game to get the best room and told us in the end mattresses to a third room with 2 small mini. was only for a night, because after that we went for trekking in the mountains. we had 2 guides, a local and an English. Then began the seven hours rose to our first goal, saw the ban village. large stretch we had to walk on all fours and it was getting steeper. The path we took away the last energy, but the more we were rewarded when we arrived at last. There was a warm reception with great food, incredibly friendly and interested people and the obligatory cigarette-lao. We slept at a family house in which our friendly mattresses, three available to us. The next morning, for the three of us have held a ceremony which we will bring luck for the trip. ie rice liquor eat before breakfast and after hearty. this still much to be desired and as many bracelets. We have very annoyed about it, that we had nothing here about what we can give to have. So we decided to work at home from buying a set of school supply materials and clothes to send. then they said goodbye. The road to the next village was indeed relatively relaxed, but all of us the day before was still in the bone, so we had trouble ours. there, we relaxed all afternoon playing at the campfire, boule and went to bed early. on the third day we went back to muing ngoi. where our guide invited us to dinner ... still very delicious. The next morning we missed our boat. there we are still left Another day. our guide invited us to picnic with his friends one evening and then went to a party in his house. in muang ngoi we lost in the boule from the local competition. so slowly are expensive because you must buy each other for the beer. was already scarce (8:9). throughout the north of the country by the way, there is no electricity and no internet away. evening will be a fix generators or a generator in a home-made rapids of rivers considered.
the next morning we missed the boat no more and we came back to Luang Prabang. Phonsavan from there we went to one of the most bombed areas of the country ...
